Co-Op Pottery Classes
Design Your Own Co-Op Pottery Class at NPC!
Create a 6 week pottery class series that fits your schedule and meets your needs!
With co-op classes, you decide what you want to learn and we can design a 6 week session specifically for you.
All you need is a group of 6-12 people to join the class and we’ll get you set up!
Co-Op classes are great for homeschoolers, after school activities for kids & teens, senior groups, friends, co-workers, or anyone you want to play in the mud with!
Co-Op Class Requirements
Course Content
We can accommodate most ceramics topics including:
Hand Building
Wheel Throwing
Surface Decoration
Special Projects (i.e. jars with lids, wall hangings, sculpture, etc.)
Any combination of skills or projects you want to learn, as long as we are able to achieve those goals within the allotted time
Skill Levels
Co-op classes are great for beginners or more experienced ceramists alike!
Group Sizes
All co-op classes must have a minimum of 6 participants prior to scheduling.
Co-op classes cannot have more than 12 participants
If your co-op class has less than 12 participants, we will open the class up to other participants to register
Age Requirements
For any wheel throwing co-op class, all participants must be 10 years or older
All participants must be 5 years or older for co-op classes
Co-op classes may combine adult and child participants but all participants must be registered (adults accompanying children to classes may not participate unless they are registered)
Class Length
All co-op classes are held on the same day and time once per week for 6 consecutive weeks and missed classes cannot be made up
We are not able to accommodate sessions that are less than 6 weeks in length
Choose from 1 - 3 hour sessions (in 30 min increments) per week for your class
Note that all co-op class participants are required to clean-up during their allotted class time so we recommend a minimum of 1.5 hours per class for any adult co-op class and between 1 and 2 hours per class for any kids' co-op class to give ample time for instruction and clean-up)
Scheduling and Payment
We require a minimum of 6 committed participants prior to scheduling your class
The co-op class organizer is responsible for prepaying for all participants in order to schedule the class
We can provide an itemized receipt to help the organizer collect reimbursement from participants
If you have less than 12 participants for your class, we will collect payment from other participants who register (if any)
Co-op classes must be paid and reserved at least 4 weeks before the first class begins
We will do our best to accommodate your requested days and times but we ask for your flexibility in scheduling, as we are a teaching studio with a robust class offering that may prevent us from accommodating your scheduling request
We generally have more availability on weekdays between 10am and 5pm and on weekends after 1pm
Fees
Co-op classes are $40/participant/hour of instruction so each class's fees will vary based on the weekly class session length
